Family camping trips can be a little cramped, as even the smallest tents, sleeping bags, and backpacks take up a ton of space in the car--and that doesn't account for the coolers, camping chairs, canopies, and family dog. Enter the Yakima SkyBox 16 rooftop cargo box, which stores a bunch of your gear in a single, out-of-the-way location. Designed to fit crossbar spreads as short as 24 inches, the SkyBox 16 includes quick-installation mounting hardware that accommodates round, square, and most factory crossbars. More importantly, the SkyBox 16 offers 16 cubic feet of storage space despite its short profile, so you don't have to cram everything in the trunk or back seat. Thanks to the drag-minimizing aerodynamic shape, the cargo box won't dramatically boost your gas consumption on long road trips. Other details include an extra-stiff lid that vibrates less than other cargo boxes and is easier to open and shut with one hand; an integrated track system for such accessories as a cargo net or base pad; a new lid shape that's easier to grip; an improved security latch that keeps your stuff safe; and a matte anti-scratch finish. Also equipped with SKS locks, the SkyBox 16 measures 81 by 36 by 15 inches (L x W x H).

Like a heavy full-face helmet, a bucket-mounted headlight can lead to strained neck muscles and ride-harshing fatigue. At a hair over 100g, the 1100 Lumen Exposure Diablo Mk4 is designed to reduce the bobble-head effect of weighty nightlights -- and it does so with the battery contained within the light itself. If you've ever snagged a power cord and had your singletrack tunnel go dark, then you know the appeal of self-contained lights. The 3100mAh Lithium-ion battery is enclosed within the Diablo Mk4's aerospace grade, exquisitely CNC'd aluminum body. That extensive machining, however, isn't just to look cool. It's actually designed to help heat transfer -- to physically cool the light. Packing three Cree XPG R5 LED's, the Diablo Mk4 can generate excessive heat. One way it's managed is through the weather-tight body, the other way it's managed is with Exposure's patented Intelligent Thermal Management (ITM). If the internal temperature gets too high, ITM kicks in and automatically drops the power level down to the next lowest setting. It will remain at the lower setting until the temperature inside the housing returns within normal operating range. This, and the weatherproof housing, ensures the light's battery and LED bulbs are safe from moisture, muck, and heat for a long life span. A defining feature found here on the Diablo Mk4 is Exposure's Smart Port Technology Plus. Essentially, it's a cylindrical plug on the back of the lamp unit that allows you to insert the smart charger. But, it also enables you to plug in accessories like a red LED taillight and back-up batteries, or to even charge other USB-powered devices. It will automatically recognize each accessory and configure the system to take a charge or power accessory lights. Best of all, a remote switch is available for quick light control. A new feature found on the Diablo Mk4 is Exposure's Optimum Mode Selector.
When you’re ripping through rolling terrain, cranking the pedals one minute and getting off the back of the bike the next, no seat height is “just right.” The all-new Reverb gives you infinite seat-height adjustment and control of your return speed in a hydraulically actuated remote package. A custom sealing system means the plush and consistent feel of this seat post won’t degrade, no matter how much the weather does.
The Shadow series of roof top cargo boxes uses innovative technology and advanced materials that reduce weight and maximize strength and an aerodynamic design for superior noise reduction. The "SPM" process is an ideal combination of press-forming and injection molding. This makes the box up to 50% stronger than conventional vacuum formed boxes. It includes the new memory mount system so there is no need for adjustment after the first setting.
You don't need much to have fun on the dirt -- and in many cases less is more. Single-speed, rigid mountain bikes like the Civilian Luddite are shining examples of this. You won't find any finicky components, unproven technologies, or frivolous luxuries muddling the Luddite. Just the necessities and a intelligently designed, history-rich frame to connect you to the trail.Unless you've paid close attention to regional hand-built bike shows, or forked over a few grand to Civilian's founder for a custom, hand-crafted piece, you probably haven't heard of this brand. Tyson Hart, the driving force behind Civilian, set out building cleanly designed, progressive frames in 2005 after attending UBI, a respected frame building school in Ashland, Oregon. Relying on a combination of extensive personal experience and close work with clients, Hart crafted everything from utilitarian city, to classic road, to durable mountain bikes. These distinctive rolling sculptures quickly gained a cult following for their seamless balance of fun-to-ride attitude and distinctive style. Hart's passion however is on the dirt, and that's why Civilian's world headquarters has relocated from Portland, OR, to mountainous Park City, UT. On trails like Mid-Mountain and the Crest, Hart applied his knowledge to dial the Luddite's geometry and tube set for climbing prowess, stable descending, and a smooth ride.Hart's work was once reserved for those willing to be on a waiting list and pay a premium for craftsmanship, but now they're packaged for everyone. The Luddite uses a double-butted 4130 Cro-Moly tube set that offers a ride and weight that'd rival frames costing twice as much. What gives the Luddite its distinctive ride quality is the shaped chainstays that offer explosive acceleration and kinked seat stays that dampen choppy trails. This keeps you fresh for the final sprint back to camp or the trailhead. The shapely stays are joined with Tange Design sliding drop outs.
In a world of compromise and sacrifice, it's nice to find an exception to the rule. The Ridley Noah RS is a solution to the "if only that bike had this or that" situation. It's a fast, high performing frameset, and its aero benefits come with convenience and a great price. The Noah, you know already. It's Ridley's most aerodynamic road frame with a split fork, split seat stays, speedy paint appliquAAs, and deep airfoil tube shapes. Riding it will make you faster. The Noah RS employs largely the same idea, only without the integrated seatmast. Instead, the Noah RS uses a more conventional telescoping seat post. A telescoping seatpost is easier to adjust and easier to travel with. The post is aerodynamically-shaped and made of carbon-fiber by Ridley, and it comes with the frame along with the seat post clamp. The 1200g claimed weight of a medium isn't as feathery light as some frames, but the aero benefits will overcome the weight penalty in many conditions, particularly when you're riding fast. The carbon-fiber lay-up has likewise been tweaked to bring the price downward and make the bike more compliant as well. For the Noah RS, Ridley uses 30- and 24-ton high-modulus carbon fiber. The other big difference from the Noah is that the RS seat stays are aero-shaped, but lack the split stay R-Flow design you'd find on the Noah. But they retained this technology on the front of the bike where aerodynamics are crucial. The R-Flow jet foils in the 4ZA Sphinx full-carbon fork reduce drag by 6.4%. It's a full carbon fork with a carbon steerer and turns on upper and lower integrated 1-1/8" FSA bearings. As with the Noah, the RS has R-Surface paint strategically applied to reduce drag by 3.6%. The cables run internally to further maximize aero advantages. The Ridley Noah RS is available in six sizes from X-Small to X-Large and is available in two colors -- Red/white/black and Blue/black/white.
The addition of the YAW R2C transforms SRAM's RED road group into the perfect aerodynamic weapon. The YAW R2C (Return to Center) also mates perfectly with SRAM's Exact Actuation technology, providing fast, consistent and new light action shifting throughout the entire gear range. No trim shifting is faster, and provides a more aero and comfortable hand position.
